Soulcalibur characters1/31/2024 ![]() On the one hand, he’s incredibly fun to play as, with his flips and lightsaber acrobatics allowing him to dominate the arena space. Garroting Maxi off the edge of a stage, for instance, might let 47 start the next round with his own pair of nunchaku. The SoulCalibur community has a definite love/hate relationship with Yoda. For the big guns (both literal and figurative), 47 would have to get KOs or ring outs against certain characters, or under certain conditions. Smaller items, such as piano wire or coins, would be scattered around the stage at the start of a match, and Agent 47 would have to pick them up before their moves could be used, similar to how Cody functions in recent Street Fighter games. Some of which would be available from the start of the match, and some of which would have to be acquired on-site, just like in the actual Hitman games. The way I see it, Agent 47’s move set would be all about his enormous arsenal of hidden gadgets and weapons. Just imagine Kiryu-chan’s Critical Edge, where he picks up a conveniently placed bicycle and bludgeons Voldo with it repeatedly. Would the Soul Edge not then be interested in a fighter of such incredible skill and versatility? Why would the Soul Calibur settle for Azwel, who looks like he hits on every girl with an X on her hand at the Opeth concert, when it could just as capably be wielded by a confident, cutthroat criminal with a heart of gold? If the Yakuza games have taught us anything, it’s that Kiryu-chan can turn anything into a weapon. Maybe his Critical Edge involves running the other player over with his rocket-powered motorcycle, Wario style - a world of possibility is at your fingertips, Bandai. ![]() Once he arrives, maybe he picks up a few assassin gigs from the Aval Organization. ![]() I envision a scenario where Travis wins a ticket to the world of Soulcalibur through one of those online gacha machines. Travis and his knockoff beam katana are practically begging for inclusion in the Soulcalibur mythos, what with Travis’ antihero status and his otaku proclivities. His name even has “soul” in it, sort of, and a lot of his attacks are fire based, so there’s no question that this Sol still burns. The Guilty Gear series is all about bladed warriors fighting for the fate of the universe, so it’s not beyond belief that the Soul Calibur/Edge might summon a fighter from their world, in its endless quest to be wielded by the greatest possible swordsman. ![]() For bonus points, put child Ciri in the game instead of adult Ciri - it’d be just like having Yoda back, if Yoda were a fated ward delivered by the Law of Surprise. You’d probably be able to reuse some animation assets and save a little skrill. That business relationship with CD Projekt Red already exists, right? Let’s get Ciri in here for cryin’ out loud! Her fighting style is different from Geralt’s, but not by that much. I love being wrong!) Ciri ( The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt) (But hey, on the off chance that you’re reading this, Okubo-san, feel free to prove me wrong by putting any of these characters in the game. So what’s a season pass holder to do? Daydream, of course! Here are five characters that definitely won’t be Soulcalibur 6 DLC, but 100 percent should be. While Nier: Automata‘s 2B has been announced as the game’s first real DLC character - Tira doesn’t count since she was available on day one - a release date for our peerless android heroine is nowhere in sight. It’s been almost two months since Soulcalibur 6 came out.
